Chapter 4 - Communicating Online (Email Systems)

Communicating through email has become the standard for internet communication.  It has grown tremendously since the nineties and has surpassed the telephone as the most popular way to communicate in business.  There are many ways to create a free email address for yourself or your business, or you may have one from your employer for business purposes.  Either way, their anatomy is the same.(See Pictured)  The standard address sequence is user name@host name.TLD(top level domain such as com, net, org, edu.)  With an email client, like GoogleMail, YahooMail, Outlook, MacMail, or even through your internet provider(see pictured - Verizon), you are able to send, recieve, and store email messages.  How about alerts and folders for different senders?  Find out more in my next post.  Coming soon..........
